Labor Day Weekend

This past labor day weekend, the ladies of Champagne Lilies coordinated a beautiful event at the Julia Morgan's Ballroom. The lovely wedding was filled with happiness and joy as two Russian Jewish families came together to unite their son and daughter. The Bride and Groom are so in love and were the the calmest couple to work with!

With a theme of green and white, the place was filled with garden roses and green bridesmaid dresses which contrasted nicely with the ballroom's smokey mahogany wood decor. The reception was filled with appetizers and guests were happily picking at the wide variety of food from different ethnicities courtesy of Beli Deli. All the guests and the bride and groom had a great time dancing to Dave Hosley's DJ-ing skills while Matt Kim snapped tons of pictures of the party.

Overall a very successful event and Champagne Lilies will be preparing for the next wedding!

Go Green on your wedding day!

What does it mean to go "Green" and how can you be "Green" during your wedding? Well, these days, everyone is becoming more environmentally conscious and you can also get involved while planning your big day. Going green can be simple and easy. You can choose from eco-friendly locations, organic catering and even a venue that may use renewable energy! Give back to mother earth using one of these methods! Here are a couple of great examples:

Have an outdoor, natural wedding venue. Not only would be it beautiful, it would be very environmentally mindful because you are embracing the natural beauties. One great location in Northern California is the Hastings House in Half Moon Bay. This small venue is a gorgeous, mature garden covered with beautiful colors and bursts of gorgeous trees.

For Transportation of guests and the wedding party, Hybrids are available in all shapes and sizes these days! You don't need to compromise the class of your ride, you can rent hybrid SUVs and still make your grand entrance. Try Fox Car Rentals and ask for their fleet of Green vehicles.

The list can go on and on depending on how "Green" you want to be. Either way, your wedding day will be blissful and earth conscious.

Enjoy!

Keeping up with the 411

Big THANKS to Nicole for arranging another successful 411 Networking Event at the Hotel Los Gatos. It was the perfect evening to hang out on the balcony overlooking Main Street with a tasty beverage in one hand and surrounded by friends! We had an amazing time reconnecting with old friends and meeting new faces. Who knew there would be so many new faces?! Oh and good thing we remembered to wear green though there wasn't nearly enough pinching going on :). Hope to see everyone next month at Byington Winery!

NACE Event

Champagne Lilies attended our first NACE event Tuesday night at the Sainte Claire Hotel in downtown San Jose! Not only was the night filled with awesome networking and food, courtesy of Il Fornaio, we went home more informed than when we arrived!
Andy Ebon, gave a great talk about sharpening one's marketing edge and the importance of leveraging social media to target the right audience and obtain new connections. Actively engaging in the world of social media is also a great way to express ourselves to our brides and keep in touch with fellow vendors! Needless to say, we've been sold :). Always keeping an eye out

Working in the wedding industry requires a lot of attention to detail, relationship building, and continuously looking for new trends and styles. I was at the Red Rock Cafe in Mountain View, CA the other night getting my late night swirl and out of the corner of my eye saw some cute colorful boxes and two women conversing over them. Immediately attracted to the colors, I knew I had to talk to them about it! Was it wedding favors? Was it a weekend project? What was it?

Turns out it was a budding business offering wedding favors! I was so excited. The new business owner is planning on launching in June and is called Little Blue Ribbon! @LittleBlueRibbon, we can't wait to see more of your products!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!

Love is in the air! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
In 1537, England's King Henry VII officially declared February 14th the holiday of St. Valentine's Day and we continue to celebrate this today to express our love for our partners.

Champagne Lilies hopes to embrace that moment and translate that into your wedding day. Visit us at www.champagnelilies.com for more info. Happy loving!

Champagne Lilies Testimonial 2

"Yvonne was a great help at my wedding! She dropped everything at the drop
of a hat whenever I called her for help. I seriously wouldn't have made it to my
wedding day without her!! Since I planned my wedding in six short months,
I needed someone who was efficient and could make quick decisions. Yvonne
was that person. She went with me to look at venues, and within two days, we
had found the perfect spot for my wedding! She also accompanied me to
endless bridal shows to interview photographers and other vendors, gown
and bridesmaid dress shopping, menu tasting, and even to the hair salon to
check out my trial updo! On the morning of my actual wedding, I sent her a
frantic text message saying I needed some cover-up. Even though she had
a million things to do, she ran to the store and bought what I needed- just
so that I would look my best on the big day!! Because of her, my wedding
day went smoothly and without a hitch! She was the perfect wedding planner
mainly because she invested so much personal time in me."

"My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Yvonne during our
wedding. Yvonne was excellent in assisting us in finding a venue. She
was patient with our request and worked within our budget. She was
very helpful in providing us with ideas and suggestions. Yvonne was
such a pleasant person to work with during the chaos of our wedding."
